From time to time, we will be sharing information with you through our blog.
We hope you find it informative and helpful. To start, we would like to address some common myths about when to have heating systems or air conditioning systems installed.
Myth 1: You have a quote for AC but you think “Let’s wait until spring. They can’t install an air conditioning system in the cold weather.”
False: We can install an AC system in any weather. Winter is an excellent time to have an AC system installed and it is ready to use when the weather gets warm.
In many homes, the majority of work takes place in the attic. Technicians would much rather work in your attic on a cold day. Even on a 70-degree day, an attic can reach 100 degrees. On warmer days, an attic can easily top 130-degrees and can be dangerous!
In addition, the install department gets booked quickly in the spring. You may have to wait up to two months to get your AC installed! So, give us a call if you would like an estimate on an air conditioning system. It is the perfect time!
Myth 2: “We have to get our heating system installed before it’s cold out!”
False: Assuming your boiler or furnace is safe and operating, you do not have to rush to replace it before the cold weather gets here. Many times, there is a fear that it takes several days to replace a system and you would be without heat, risking frozen pipes. In most cases, this is not true. Many systems can be changed in one day, and the heat is only off for a few hours.
While some systems may take a few days, they can generally be staged in such a way, that the heat is on overnight. There is no need to rush now or wait until the end of the summer weather to install a heating system.
